Overview of Our Neurotransmitter Research Services

The pathogenesis of psychiatric disorders often involves the imbalance of multiple neurotransmitter systems, such as dopamine, 5-hydroxytryptamine, glutamate, etc. Studying the expression, synthesis, metabolism and receptors of these key neurotransmitters can help elucidate the neurobiological basis of psychiatric disorders and provide a theoretical foundation for the diagnosis of psychiatric disorders and the development of innovative therapies.

Ace Therapeutics provides clients with a comprehensive range of psychiatric neurotransmitter research services, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Neurotransmitter detection and analysis

We utilize advanced analytical platforms such as HPLC and ELISA to accurately quantify the expression, synthesis, metabolism, and receptors of key neurotransmitters in samples of brain tissue, cerebrospinal fluid, and blood, which can help to elucidate the neurobiological basis of psychiatric disorders. In addition, we utilize immunohistochemistry and Western blot to quantify neurotransmitter receptor expression at the cellular or tissue level. These data help to assess abnormalities in neurotransmitter receptor function.

  • Studies on the mechanisms of neurotransmitter regulation

We have conducted in-depth signaling pathway studies on neurotransmitter synthesis, release and reabsorption to investigate their regulatory mechanisms in the development of psychiatric disorders. This provides an important basis for the development of novel therapeutic drugs targeting neurotransmitters.

Our Methodology and Analysis Tools

  • Immunohistochemical analysis: We use numerous antibodies individually or in combination to achieve a comprehensive analysis of neurochemical systems such as dopamine, glutamate, serotonin, and gamma-aminobutyric acid.
  • Positron emission tomography (PET): Our services include identifying abnormalities in the peptide neurotransmitter system and evaluating all components of the different neurotransmitter systems through PET methods.
  • Gene expression analysis: We combine advanced technologies such as microarray technology, RNA sequencing technology, and in situ hybridization with bioinformatics analysis to help our clients analyze the abnormal patterns of neurotransmitter-related gene expression and expression abnormalities in the development of specific psychiatric disorders.
  • Neurochemistry bioanalytical: We perform a comprehensive analysis of neurotransmitters in isolated samples by analytical tools such as HPLC - tandem mass spectrometry, HPLC - electrochemical detection, HPLC - fluorescence detection and RIA / ELISA.
