Research Services for Intestinal Complications of IBD
Intestinal complications tend to occur when the intestinal inflammation is severe, widespread, and chronic, even extend beyond the inner lining (mucosa) of the intestines. Certain intestinal complications, such as intestinal blockages (strictures), abnormal connections between the intestine and other organs (fistulas), intestinal bleeding, and perforations or holes in the intestine, can arise in both types of IBD. However, the specific presentation and frequency of these complications may vary between ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. To address the challenges posed by these IBD complications, more preclinical research is needed to advance our understanding of the underlying mechanisms and to develop innovative treatment strategies.=

Explore Our Expertise in Intestinal Complications of IBD
Ace Therapeutics' team of experts is committed to advancing the science of intestinal complications of IBD by providing innovative solutions and new technologies for your drug programs. Our scientists will work with you to understand your target and pathway, determine the best medicinal chemistry strategy for your program, and develop robust custom assays along with our unmatched portfolio of validated, ready-to-use assays.
Intestinal Perforation Research Services
We provide customized preclinical research services to help pharmaceutical and biotech companies develop effective therapies for perforation caused by intestinal inflammation. No matter where you are in the drug discovery process, our approach is designed to help you make better decisions faster.
Intestinal Stricture Research Services
We can perform several clinically relevant outcome assays in animal models of intestinal fibrosis to enhance understanding and drug development for intestinal fibrosis. These include the use of a new luminal casting technique, traditional histologic outcomes, use of second harmonic imaging, and quantitative PCR.
Fistulating Crohn's Disease Research Services
Ace Therapeutics provides robust in vivo and in vitro model systems of fistulating Crohn's disease to verify and broaden your understanding while exploring novel causal pathways to provide further information on the pathogenesis of fistulating Crohn's disease. In addition, we can help clients develop novel therapies for this disease.
Customized Preclinical Study of Intestinal Complications in IBD
Ace Therapeutics has extensive knowledge and experience in the field of IBD. Our broad range of expertise from in vitro to in vivo means that we can establish a translational approach from target-based biochemical and cellular assays to efficacy assessment. We can identify key targets and then demonstrate efficacy in our in vivo models of IBD, ultimately establishing a clear PK/PD relationship.
Our full range of preclinical intestinal complications of IBD research covers:
