Gut Microbiota Analysis in IBD

The total human gut microbiome consists of approximately 1150 bacterial species, with each individual host having approximately 160 species. Under normal conditions, most commensal bacteria play an important role in protecting intestinal homeostasis. However, a link between alterations in the microbiome and IBD has been established. Dysbiosis not only alters the composition of the gut microbiota, but also its metabolome, which has a wide range of effects on the host. Therefore, it is crucial to identify specific pathogens associated with the onset of IBD, and a deep understanding of the various pathogenic factors is of great importance for the early detection of IBD.

Our Gut Microbiota Analysis Services

Ace Therapeutics is a leading service provider in the field of IBD, offering germ-free animal models, germ-free housing, and comprehensive microbiome analysis services to help clients study the gut microbiota and host-microbe interactions in IBD. We aim to provide key insights into the pathogenesis of IBD and data to support the development of microbiome-based diagnostics and therapeutics for IBD.

With a comprehensive portfolio of microbiome-specific services, Ace Therapeutics leverages microbiome insights to meet the evolving needs of IBD drug R&D programs. We provide researchers with the necessary tools and research support needed to advance IBD studies. Whether you are in the early stages of your research or looking to take your research to the next level, we can work with you to ensure you achieve your research goals.

Ace Therapeutics provides state-of-the-art, integrated research solutions for the study of the gut microbiota in IBD, employing advanced metabolomics and high-throughput sequencing technologies.

Identification of the Specific Pathogens Related to IBD

Our next-generation sequencing analysis allows us to comprehensively assess the species and distribution of bacteria in samples (e.g., intestinal contents or feces) derived from IBD animals. In addition, we combine advanced culture techniques with real-time PCR analysis, allowing us to quantify a wide range of gut bacteria that were previously difficult to assess.

We test and analyze a range of samples to help identify the diversity and relative abundance of microbes in the gut, as well as their phylogenetic relationships. This leads to a comprehensive understanding of the changes in the gut microbiome in IBD at a genetic level.

Gut Microbiota Metabolomics Services

We provide reliable gut microbial metabolomics solutions to demonstrate the metabolic status of the host gut microbiota by detecting dynamic changes in microbial-derived metabolites in IBD, which helps to visualize the relationship between the gut microbiota and IBD.

  • Gut kinetic studies of microbial metabolites
  • Screening of differential gut microbiota metabolites
  • Study the mechanism of gut microbiota in IBD

Development of Microbiome-Based IBD Therapeutics and Diagnostics

We help clients develop novel microbiome and metabolite markers to predict disease progression in the diagnosis and treatment of IBD. In addition, we help clients develop microbiome-targeted therapeutics for IBD.

  • Antibiotics
  • Prebiotics/probiotics
  • Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT)

Methods for Gut Microbiota Studies

Ace Therapeutics provides cutting-edge methods for studying the gut microbiota in IBD. Our services cover all aspects of microbiome research, including microbial culture and preparation, detection and identification, localization, and metabolite detection.

  • C57BL/6NCrl (B6N) germ-free mouse
  • Mass spectrometry
  • qPCR/dPCR
  • 16S rRNA gene sequencing
  • Shotgun sequencing
