Synonyms | Gastric inhibitory polypeptide receptor, GIP-R, Glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor, GIPR, GIP responsive cell line, Tirzepatide responsive cell line, Retatrutide responsive cell line |
Description | GIPR/CRE Luciferase Reporter HEK293 Cell Line is an engineered HEK293 cell line expressing firefly luciferase under the control of cAMP response element (CRE), and human GIPR (Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide receptor; NM_000164.4). Activation of GIPR in these cells can be monitored by measuring luciferase activity. The functionality of the GIPR/CRE Luciferase Reporter HEK293 Cell Line was validated in dose-response assays using the agonists gastric inhibitory peptide (GIP), Tirzepatide, and Retatrutide. |
Host Cell Line | HEK293, Human Embryonic Kidney, epithelial-like cells, adherent |
Applications | Screen and characterize agonists of human GIPR in a cellular model. |
Supplied As | Each vial contains >1 x 106 cells in 1 mL of cell freezing medium |
Materials Required But Not Supplied | Media Required for Cell Culture • Gastric Inhibitory Peptide (GIP), human • Tirzepatide hydrochloride • Retatrutide • Opti-MEM Reduced Serum Medium (Assay Medium) • Luminometer |
