Customized Canine Models of Ocular Diseases

Canines, another large animal model indispensable in preclinical research, are widely used in eye disease research due to their spontaneous eye disease similarity to human eye diseases. As one of the world's leading developers and suppliers of eye disease models, Ace Therapeutics has successfully established an advanced canine eye disease model development platform to serve global scientific research and pharmaceutical companies. We guarantee that you can get any model here to advance your project.

Canine Ocular Disease Models

Advantages of Canines for Ocular Disease Research

Animal models of human disease facilitate experiments aimed at elucidating disease mechanisms and evaluating therapeutic strategies. The high failure rate of ophthalmic clinical trials today is largely due to the lack of suitable animal models, mainly: 1) the obvious anatomy and physiology of routinely studied animals (rabbits, mice, rats) differ from human differences and are not representative of affected populations. 2) Studies performed in healthy eyes do not take into account physiological disturbances in ocular homeostasis in diseased eyes. Unlike traditional laboratory animals, spontaneous ocular disease in canines better reflects complex genetic, environmental, and physiological changes in humans. In addition, the canine's large eyes make surgery easier. These advantages make canines the most suitable models for the study of eye diseases that have a huge social impact on humans.

Service Overview

Animal models are essential and critical tools in preclinical research. As one of the world's leading developers and suppliers of eye disease models, Ace Therapeutics has devoted itself to developing innovative multi-species eye disease models in the past few years to shorten customers' project development and time-to-market. Here, we are pleased to provide canine eye disease models to help you discover promising treatments.

Unlike traditional animal models, our canine model is developed largely spontaneously, a long-standing process. This helps you develop effective intervention strategies and sustained-release drugs.

Explore Ace Therapeutics' Canine Ocular Disease Models

Ace Therapeutics has established an experienced matrix of preclinical ophthalmology studies to assist our clients in model selection and efficacy evaluation. Our ophthalmic pharmacologists will develop custom protocols to test new drugs or delivery modes based on your project needs.

To the satisfaction of our clients, our canine model has been validated through extensive experiments to characterize the biological mechanisms involved in the development of ophthalmic diseases, which greatly reduces the incidence of adverse reactions during the study period.

Ace Therapeutics offers the following canine ocular disease models, including but not limited to:

Ocular Diagnostic Tools

  • Fluorescein angiography
  • Scheimpfilug analysis
  • Histopathology
  • Comeal confiocal microscopy
  • Fundoscopic imaging
  • Optical coherence tomography
  • Slit lamp microbiography
  • Indirect ophthalmoscopy
  • Tonometry
  • Electroretinography

Thanks to our in-depth understanding of canine and ocular diseases, Ace Therapeutics has established the world's most comprehensive laboratory for canine ocular disease models. Our scientists can select and customize the best model according to your project. If you are interested in our services or need more detailed information, please feel free to contact us. Our experienced scientists are ready to help you!
