Brief Description：The Research Associate will design and optimize the various experiments required to characterize drug candidates or carrier molecules for use in glaucoma through various methods.

At Ace Therapeutics, we aspire to cure glaucoma. We have a specialized ophthalmic research laboratory and technology platform. Our goal is to improve and develop specific therapies to treat glaucoma with the aim of optimizing current glaucoma treatments.

Duties and Responsibilities

This position will work closely with other assistants and scientists to develop standard operating procedures and perform specific experimental operations.

Piloting and optimizing various ocular experimental protocols, including experimental manipulations related to animal and cellular models.
Working with senior scientists and project managers to develop and validate experimental SOPs.
Troubleshooting and creative involvement in basic laboratory operations for multiple projects.
Planning and executing experiments with minimal supervision. Communicating experimental results to supervisor, colleagues and project team in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications

Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, ophthalmic medicine, biomedical engineering or related field.
3+ years of experience in ocular laboratory, preferably in the field of glaucoma.
Extensive experience and knowledge of in vivo and in vitro experiments, as well as the ability to learn new science and methods quickly.
Ability to draft and implement laboratory protocols, with the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to perform essential laboratory tasks safely and successfully.
Strong work ethic, communication skills and basic office skills.
