Brief Description：The Principal Scientist will be responsible for independent research into new therapies for glaucoma, including basic and preclinical studies, and for research strategy, planning and execution.

At Ace Therapeutics, we aspire to cure glaucoma. We have a specialized ophthalmic research laboratory and technology platform. Our goal is to improve and develop specific therapies to treat glaucoma with the aim of optimizing current glaucoma treatments.

Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our dynamic team to accelerate the development of our glaucoma treatments. The position of Principal Scientist will directly support efforts to advance our future glaucoma therapies and medicines.

Extensively reviewing the literature, customizing protocols, performing experiments, and overseeing the development of drug candidates.
Monitoring ongoing experiments and proposing alternatives or solutions.
Writing in vivo and in vitro study protocols and reports, compiling and presenting data and presenting to clients.
Managing small research teams and following lab protocols and safety regulations.
Strong work ethic, communication skills and goal-oriented professional expertise.

Basic Qualifications

Ph.D. in biology, medicine, biochemistry or drug development related field.
5+ years of industry experience, as well as experience managing teams and working between research groups.
Experience with ophthalmic testing and other standard laboratory techniques.
Ability to define glaucoma program goals and work independently or in a group setting to achieve that goal.
Advanced planning, organizational and time management skills, including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects.
Detailed and accurate documentation of all experiments, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
