Product Description Rat Skeletal Muscle Cells (RSkMC) are isolated from skeletal muscle of the rat limb and cryopreserved at P1, with >0.5 million cells in each vial. RSkMC provide a useful system to study many aspects of muscular function and disease and can serve as an intermediate model of human diseases. Skeletal Muscle Cells also play an instrumental role in the glucose metabolism and diabetes. These RSkMC are negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi and can further expand for 8 population doublings in Rat Skeletal Muscle Cells Growth Medium.
