UniProt No. | Q14527 |
Gene ID | 6596 |
Gene Description | Helicase-like transcription factor, also known as RUSH-1 or SMARCA3, belongs to the SNF2/SWI2 family of ATP-dependent remodelers. HLTF has been shown to interact with ubiquitin enzyme complexes to promote Lys-63-linked polyubiquitination of PCNA, maintaining genomic stability during DNA damage. HLTF has double-stranded DNA translocation activity, which can restart replication forks at DNA lesions, providing tumor suppressive functions. The HLTF gene is frequently hypermethylated in many different tumor types. |
