Target Name | CCPG1 |
UniProt No. | Q9ULG6 |
Gene ID | 9236 |
Gene Description | CCPG1 was originally identified as a scaffold protein for Rho- specific guanine nucleotide exchange specificity. More recently it has been shown to play an important role in ER homeostasis by functioning as a cargo receptor for ER selective autophagy, termed ER-phagy. CCPG1 is localized to the ER and is induced by stress. It associates with components of autophagy including LC3 family members and the FIP200, a component of the ULK1 complex, facilitating the trafficking of the ER to the autophagosome. |
