Principal Scientist, Diabetes
Ace Therapeutics is committed to accelerating the preclinical discovery and therapy development of diabetes. To achieve this goal, we are seeking a principal scientist specialized for diabetes research. The candidate will design and evaluate therapy development strategies, working collaboratively across research functions.
Essential Responsibilities
- Work closely with the research team in diabetes-related drug/therapeutics development.
- Lead preclinical assay development programs in ex vivo and in vivo studies.
- Oversee disease model and analytical assay development.
- Write technical documents including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), protocol, reports.
- Support patent application and registration.
- Supervise and train technical staff as the need arises.
Basic Qualifications
- Ph.D. in pathology, biophysics, molecular biology, medicinal chemistry, immunology, or related fields.
- A minimum of 2 years of industry experience in structure-guided drug discovery (therapeutic proteins/antibodies or small-molecule drugs).
- Hands-on experience in preclinical drug discovery project including hit identification, lead optimization and preclinical development.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills to establish and manage successful relationships with internal and external collaborators.
