Product Information
Product Name Phospho-GSK-3β (S9) and Total GSK3β ELISA Kit
Species Mouse
Description Phospho-GSK3β (S9) and Total GSK3β ELISA Kit is a very rapid, convenient, and sensitive assay kit that can monitor the activation or function of important biological pathways in mouse cell lysates. By determining phosphorylated GSK3β protein in your experimental model system, you can verify pathway activation in your cell lysates. You can simultaneously measure numerous different cell lysates without spending excess time and effort in performing a Western Blotting analysis. This Sandwich ELISA kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the measurement of mouse phospho-GSK3β and total GSK3β. An anti-pan GSK3β antibody has been coated onto a 96-well plate. Samples are pipetted into the wells and GSK3β present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody and the wells are washed. In select wells, rabbit anti-phospho GSK3β (S9) antibody is added to detect phosphorylated GSK3β. In the remaining wells, rabbit anti-pan-GSK3β antibody is used to detect pan GSK3β. After washing away unbound antibody, HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG is pipetted into the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of GSK3β (S9) or pan GSK3β bound.
Sample Types Cell Lysate
Target Information
Target Name GSK3B
UniProt No. P49841
Gene ID 2932
Target Description Participates in the Wnt signaling pathway. Implicated in the hormonal control of several regulatory proteins including glycogen synthase, MYB and the transcription factor JUN. Phosphorylates JUN at sites proximal to its DNA-binding domain, thereby reducing its affinity for DNA. Phosphorylates MUC1 in breast cancer cells, and decreases the interaction of MUC1 with CTNNB1/beta-catenin. Phosphorylates CTNNB1/beta-catenin. Phosphorylates SNAI1. Plays an important role in ERBB2-dependent stabilization of microtubules at the cell cortex. Prevents the phosphorylation of APC and CLASP2, allowing its association with the cell membrane. In turn, membrane-bound APC allows the localization of MACF1 to the cell membrane, which is required for microtubule capture and stabilization. Phosphorylates MACF1 and this phosphorylation inhibits the binding of MACF1 to microtubules which is critical for its role in bulge stem cell migration and skin wound repair.
