In Vitro Pharmacodynamic Evaluation of Cardiovascular Drugs

Inquiry

In vitro pharmacodynamic evaluation makes it possible to predict and characterize the pharmacological effects of drugs early in cardiovascular drug development. Ace Therapeutics provides a wide range of in vitro pharmacodynamic services to help clients determine the mechanism and pharmacological effects of drugs at an early stage in the development of cardiovascular drugs.

Cellular Models for Pharmacodynamic Studies of Cardiovascular Drugs

In vitro pharmacodynamic studies can be used to understand the mechanism of action of cardiovascular drugs, identify potential therapeutic targets, and predict drug efficacy. The main cellular models used for in vitro pharmacodynamic studies of cardiovascular drugs are as follows.

  • Cardiomyocytes
Cardiomyocytes are primary cells or cell lines derived from cardiac tissue that can be used to evaluate the effects of drugs on cardiomyocyte function, metabolism and biomarkers.
  • Vascular Endothelial Cells
Vascular endothelial cells play a key role in angiogenesis, inflammation and thrombosis, which are important for studying drug-endothelial interactions.
  • Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells
Vascular smooth muscle cells, an essential component of the vascular wall, play an important role in regulating vascular tone, blood pressure, and structural integrity, and are frequently used to study the effects of drugs on vascular tone and blood pressure.

Our Services

Ace Therapeutics can provide clients with in vitro pharmacodynamics study services to support the development of drugs for cardiovascular diseases.

Assessment of Target/Receptor Binding Affinity

With the help of Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) technology, we can provide assessment of binding affinity of cardiovascular drugs for their targets or receptors.

Assessment of Antibody Binding Affinity

Antibody affinity assessment is a key method for assessing the ability of cardiovascular antibody drugs to bind to their antigens. We can provide affinity assessment of cardiovascular antibody drugs for our clients by using BLI, ITC, and SPR methods.

Functional Assessment of Cell Cardiomyocytes

We are able to help our clients evaluate the effects of cardiovascular drugs on myocardial contractile function and myocardial electrophysiologic function using isolated cardiomyocytes from experimental animals or humans.

Functional Assessment of Isolated Hearts

By using ex vivo cardiac perfusion techniques, we can assess the effects of drugs on heart rate, cardiac contractility, cardiac electrophysiology, and cardiac metabolism in vitro.

hERG Safety Assessment

We can test the effects of cardiovascular drugs on hERG potassium channels to predict whether the tested drug has a potential cardiac QT prolongation effect.

Ace Therapeutics is a contract research organization specializing in drug research for cardiovascular diseases. With our specialized equipment platforms and dedicated research team, we can provide comprehensive solutions for in vitro pharmacodynamic studies of cardiovascular drugs. If you are interested in our services, please don't hesitate to contact us.
